SEQOHS seeking steering group members

The SEQOHS steering group provides expert advice and guidance to the SEQOHS accreditation scheme, ensuring its good governance and management, and providing strategic direction and forward planning. The steering group shares the SEQOHS aims of improving the quality of occupational health delivery across the UK and a desire to see the numbers of services accredited increased.

The steering group holds two meetings per year, and members will be expected to attend a minimum of one London based 2-4 hour meeting a year. The second meeting may be attended via conference call, or in person, as preferred.

Members will commit to:

  • Reviewing papers prior to each meeting, with an estimated time commitment of 1-2 hours.

Members may be asked to lead on or contribute to resulting actions, with an estimated time commitment of no more than 2-4 hours.

Applicants will:

  • be interested in higher level policy development and influencing the development of the national accreditation standards in the UK.
  • share the aims of improving the quality of OH delivery across the UK and a desire to see the numbers of services accredited increased.
  • benefit from and enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive environment within chaired meetings that look for and value all contributions.
  • be a clinician or manager within the OH sector that are either SEQOHS accredited, working towards accreditation, or will commit to registering within the first three months following appointment

We are currently recruiting for the following roles:

  • Public sector OH service representative (in-house OH services)
  • Commercial provider  representative (medium-large providers)
  • Private sector OH service representative (in-house OH services)
  • Single-handed provider and small business representative (small services, with no more than one doctor)
